Palanca Awards for Literature now accepts entries

For the budding poets and writers who have the guts to compete, why don’t you try entering any of the following categories?

Short story
Short story for children
Essay
Poetry
One-act play and Full-length play in the Filipino and English divisions
Screenplay in Filipino division
Short story in Cebuano, Hiligaynon and Iluko regional languages.

Remember, you only have until midnight of April 30 to send in your entries.

And to those 18 years of age and below, you can also compete for the Kabataan Essay category. This year’s theme is The Filipino Value I Would Like to Share with the World for the English division; and Ang Kaugaliang Pilipino na Nais Kong Ibahagi sa Mundo for the Filipino division.

Entries for the literary competition may be submitted in person, or sent by mail or courier service to the Carlos Palanca Foundation, 6th Floor, CPJ bldg., 105 C. Palanca St., Legaspi Village, Makati City. Entries may also be submitted through e-mail in rich text format or in Microsoft word document as an attachment, together with the author’s resume, official entry form and original copy of the notarized authorization form.
