For a World War 2 nut, the WWII game sub-genre is never too saturated especially when follow-ups or expansions to classics get released. This week, gamers can anticipate the release of a standalone expansion pack to a WWII-themed RTS game classic in Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Relic and THQ’s initial masterpiece goes down in history as one of the best RTSes and WWII-themed games ever. We can only expect more of the same (and some new stuff) with this installment.
Tales of Valor includes three new single player campaigns, three new multi-player modes, new units and maps, and a new nifty direct-fire feature where players can now enjoy improved point-and-fire gameplay. In addition, the game also adds an “Invasion” mode where players can try to weather an invasion by overcoming attack waves with only a handful of units.
