Neon Genesis Evangelion can now be considered a classic. It’s been nearly 15 years since it came out but fans are still very much around. Details about the possible Evangelion movie is still iffy but other merchandise would surely help die-hard fans weather the Eva drought.
Submitted to your scrutiny – Eva-themed office desk goodies. There’s an Eva-themed mouse with a matching mouse pad and an Eva-themed pocket calculator.
I like the practicality behind these things but I’m sure die-hard collectors won’t even think of opening the packaging. For use or collection, these would still be great additions to any fan’s collection. These are set to be sold by end of May 2009.
Fine, if Team Sugoi wouldn’t break silence, then I’d rather fart it out loud. I do understand their if-you’re-not-there-then-shut-your-trap so I guess it would take a guest post over here to make things just a tad more interesting.
So “Cosplay Queen” Alodia complained about that recent E-Games cosplay thing. While I don’t want to dilute the action with my simplistic paraphrase, it basically goes like this -> Alodia was promised to be main judge of E-Games’ cosplay event but was eventually given a role responsible for only 10% of the judges’ input and felt wronged by what happened.
For a World War 2 nut, the WWII game sub-genre is never too saturated especially when follow-ups or expansions to classics get released. This week, gamers can anticipate the release of a standalone expansion pack to a WWII-themed RTS game classic in Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Relic and THQ’s initial masterpiece goes down in history as one of the best RTSes and WWII-themed games ever. We can only expect more of the same (and some new stuff) with this installment.
Tales of Valor includes three new single player campaigns, three new multi-player modes, new units and maps, and a new nifty direct-fire feature where players can now enjoy improved point-and-fire gameplay. In addition, the game also adds an “Invasion” mode where players can try to weather an invasion by overcoming attack waves with only a handful of units.
Let’s all check out what DC and Warner has to offer this summer. Coming direct to DVD is Green Lantern: First Flight.
The story focuses on how Hal Jordan becomes the Green Lantern. With him in the story is his own personal Yoda, senior Lantern, Sinestro and the plot thickens when Hal discovers that Sinestro is part of a conspiracy threatening the whole Green Lantern Corps.
The DVD is set to launched July 28, 2009 in the US and will be available as a special edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray™ Hi-Def and as a cheaper single disc DVD. But who wouldn’t want the special ed?
If you happen to be a fan of The Big Bang Theory (even if it’s only for Kaley Cuoco) then you might have stumbled upon that episode where Sheldon proposes that they resolve some petty issue with Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock.
Think Geek already did the Google-fu for us and they’ve found the source of this geeky twist on traditional RPS. All credit goes to Sam Kass who figured out a way to lower the tie probabilities of the standard game. Basically, the rules go:
Spock bends Scissors cuts Paper covers Rock crushes Lizard posions Spock smashes Scissors decapitates Lizard ears Paper disproves Spock vaporizes Rock crushes Scissors.
Oh, and I would surely like to have this shirt too:
Bandai Namco’s upcoming simulation RPG for the PSP Queen’s Blade: Sprial Chaos is due for a winter release in Japan. I’m sure hot-blooded Otaku-wankers are just waiting to get hold of this new installment especially if it promises this level of suggestive imagery:
Might as well be the new poster for a Got Milk ad. Then again, what more can we expect from a Queen’s Blade title, right?
