The Beatles: Rock Band

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have definitely given new life to the classics and special editions of the games are a stroke of product development genius. There really is an immediate market from the artist/group’s fan base who now get a chance to “be” their rock stars.

The next big thing with these musical simulators – The Beatles: Rock Band. It’s arriving in August (09/09/09) and current compilation of tidbits has pegged the number of songs to 25. The 25 songs out of 45

  • Back in the U.S.S.R.
  • Can’t Buy Me Love
  • Day Tripper
  • Eight Days a Week
  • Get Back
  • Here Comes the Sun
  • I Am the Walrus
  • I Feel Fine
  • I Saw Her Standing There
  • I Want to Hold Your Hand
  • Octopus’s Garden
  • Paperback Writer
  • Revolution
  • Sgt. Pepper’s Lnely Hearts Club Band
  • Taxman
  • Twist and Shout
  • Within You Without You
  • Yellow Submarine
  • With A Little Help From My Friends
  • Birthday
  • I Got a Feeling
  • Dig a Pony
  • Do You Want To Know A Secret
  • I Wanna Be Your Man
  • And Your Bird Can Sing

The tricky thing about these special editions is the song selection. Guitar Hero: Metallica had a great song lineup while Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was a bit of a letdown since it didn’t contain any of their big hits in the 90s. Many fans are currently not content with the song list.

Kid Stuffed Toy

When I first read the headline, I thought this was in the lines of the features on fetus soups that got circulated years ago. Watching too many psycho crime dramas made me think of taxidermy and kids. Thank goodness this wasn’t so.

Though I still ask why the heck would parents want to have stuffed animal versions of their kids. Probably this has the same appeal as dressing kids up in cuddly and cute animal costumes for Halloween (or yes, those otaku-rents forcing their kids into cosplaying).

Anyway, this Japanese company creates stuffed animals with your kids photo on them. If you think your kid looks adorable that way and you have that Elmira Duff (from Tiny Toons) complex in you, then you might just want to get one of these.? That way, you can go berserk in cuddling the darned toy instead of crushing your kid.

No wonder Yotsuba hates Sgt. Keroro’s guts! He always steals the limelight!

Finally! Team Sugoi and friends have finally admitted that they were tired and overworked individuals. They have finally humbled themselves and conceded that they are not as “sugoi” as they want to be, that they are only humans (although some would argue that they’re goddesses : P) and that like all mortals, they also need a few days off for some well-deserved R&R. I was in charge of looking for a place and basically make all the arrangements for the trip. Thanks to Flori’s Sex and the Barrio friend, Nina, she found just the perfect sugoi spot (yes, the S spot).

And so they hied their butts off to Solomon’s Paradise, a small resort in Patar, Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Sugoi Stuff 2.0

By Sushi Boi on February 11, 2008

Hello thar, matie!

This fact nearly escaped us but Sugoi Stuff is nearly a year old! Yes, people. Sugoi Stuff will be celebrating it’s birthday in a couple of days.

While we’ve registered the domain December two years ago, with the aims of creating a blogzine to cater to everything sugoi, we’ve only gone formally online February of last year, just before Valentine’s Day.

To commemorate our year online, we’re launching Sugoi Stuff 2.0 starting with this swanky new design courtesy of our resident design arm, Under the Pillow. We hope that this makes your reading experience more enjoyable.

We’re also expanding!

Expect daily updates from us with posts catering to anime, manga, J-pop, gaming, gadgets, and all the other great things that we can scrounge. We’ll have and probably a couple of services and promos launched just for you. Not that we’re gearing to be a Web 2.0 company (but why not?) since we’re just doing this for fun but we just love our dear faithful readers, that’s all.

Our team is also growing. We welcome to our team a new contributor in Alvin Ace who will serve as our resident console gaming blogger.

Tuloy ang ligaya!
