Star Trek DVD/Blu-Ray Trailer

By Kyameel on August 10, 2009

Enterprise, lens flare

Of all the blockbuster movies this year that was supposed to elicit fangasm from me this year, Star Trek was the only one who delivered through and through so far. An alternative story that didn’t veer off the original mythos of the series, but in itself was an original experience non-fans can truly enjoy.

You can now take home the experience once the DVD and Blu-Ray are released on November 17 this year. It will include behind-the-scenes specials, commentaries, and nine deleted scenes! As well a “Hologram” experience. You can check out what to look forward by watching the teaser below.

And as JJ Abrams said, “Nice flare!”

Dollhouse

Not many people are amused by Joss Whedon’s prostitution show AKA Dollhouse but we here at Sugoi Stuff are fans. For me, it’s mostly due to Eliza Dushku and Miracle Laurie but the show had its moments.

Now that’s a sentiment Fox executives might share (the moments not the chicks) since the show got renewed for a second season despite the poor ratings.

Anyway, the US DVD was released a few weeks ago. Aside from the aired shows it contains two bonus episodes – the pilot and a 13th episode that were both unaired.

The pilot was Whedon’s first work with Dollhouse in mind but test audiences found it too dark and sketchy that he had to shoot another one.

13th is a special what-if post-apocalyptic look at the world with Dollhouse technology meant to be a stand-alone show.

If you’re a fan, you might want to grab a copy of the DVD. But yeah, for the rest of you cheapskates, we’re sure you know your way around the Internet. :p

Green Lantern: First Flight trailer

Let’s all check out what DC and Warner has to offer this summer. Coming direct to DVD is Green Lantern: First Flight.

The story focuses on how Hal Jordan becomes the Green Lantern. With him in the story is his own personal Yoda, senior Lantern, Sinestro and the plot thickens when Hal discovers that Sinestro is part of a conspiracy threatening the whole Green Lantern Corps.

The DVD is set to launched July 28, 2009 in the US and will be available as a special edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray™ Hi-Def and as a cheaper single disc DVD. But who wouldn’t want the special ed?
