In totally un-Comic-Con related news… here’s some Star Wars bit. This is the disturbance in the force.
Do you remember that kid who played Anakin Skywalker in the air before that crud Hayden Christensen took over to mack Natalie Portman? Well we’re sure you won’t recognize him today. Here’s Jake Lloyd and he’s 20 now and boy, has he grown. The picture’s taken from last month’s Supanova Pop Culture Expo, Sydney, Australia.
During E3 2009, Bioware and Lucas Arts released the trailer for their highly anticipated MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Playing the original Knights of the Old Republic game, I became a fan. And actually can’t wait for this. It will feature a lot of character classes and of course, worlds.
Here’s the trailer:

I’d have to say that the geek in me likes Star Wars especially tconhe first trilogy with Luke and Obi Wan and Han and Princess Leia and the Ewoks. I still have that nasty habit of doing impressions of Darth Vader saying “Luke, who’s your daddy?” just to disturb people. Sad to say, even Mace Windu didn’t do the prequel any justice. Hayden Christensen really ruined the whole franchise with such crappy acting.
Anyway, since we wont have another set of three movies set after the one, the franchise has decided to fill in more storyline blanks with the a new set of 3D animated features dubbed, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This is to be differentiated from the Clone Wars 2D run on Cartoon Network (which was a treat on its own though it really sucked to see that the animated version of Anakin still had a huge amount of influence from Hayden’s crap).
When you hear the tag line “May the Force be with you”, obviously Star Wars comes to mind. Most of us have seen all six of the movies, while some went as far as to collecting anything there is that has Star Wars in it.
And if these people are yet to touch a video game controller, then they may want to get themselves either a Sony PlayStation 3 or a Microsoft Xbox360 and play Soul Calibur 4 when the game hits the shelves mid-2008.
We've done some house cleaning and unfortunately, we broke some links to out Photobucket-hosted images. (FAIL!) We're sorry for that so just check our Photobucket album for those missing images.
