The Best of the East at the SM Mall of Asia in its Japan Week Celebration from August 8-14, 2007.

This event has been organized by Yoshinoya — Japan’s Best Beef Bowl! This event is also supported by The Japan Foundation and The Japanese Embassy of the Philippines.

From Hazel:

This coming Saturday (main event day) Ongaku Society will grace Mall of Asia with the Rock and Roll you know only we can provide.

And to whose music would you be headbanging to? Just Philippine’s premier japanese cover bands: Neotaku, Progeny, Himitsu Heiki and PPF All Stars.

And to add up the spice at night, at 7PM there will be a street fashion show of Jrock and Jpop inspired clothing by the best cosplayers in this country.

Here is the schedule for Saturday:

AUGUST 11 2007 (Saturday)

2pm – Cosplay: Japanese Pop Culture Experience
Tenshi no Koe: Angelic Voice of a Young Japanese-Filipino Children’s Choir

4pm – ANIME 101: The Basics of Anime-Making
Dansu, Dansu! A Japanese Dance Exhibition

7pm – Houhou Aikon: A Glimpse of Japan’s Pop Fashion

Cosplay.ph will be there too, so it’s guaranteed fun guys! Plus, Animax and PSICOM will be there to cover the event.
