An online friend of mine just gave me this link while we were chatting through Yahoo! Messenger. It was because he was ranting about “always getting slapped”; so being the inquisitive guy that I am, I had to ask him about it. And he shared this game to me.

Rose & Camellia, as NIGORO put it, is “the elegant art of feminine conflict”. But I’d rather call it “the ultimate slapfest” so as not to be racist. Seems like they aren’t still too cautious with sexism and the lot.

The plot of this indie Flash game revolves around a woman named Reiko, wife of the eldest son of the historied Tsubakikoji family. She suffers the death of her husband just a day after their wedding. Being born from a poor family, she is constantly and unceasingly mocked by her in-laws. This game follows her story; her quest to redeem herself, and ultimately, gain supremacy over the Tsubakikoji house. And that is by slapping the hell out of them offenders.

Game controls are basic; you only need a mouse, and you must know how and where to maneuver it, since slapping and evading require you to move the mouse cursor at certain directions only. They have a tutorial video uploaded on YouTube, under the username 256nigoro. Apart from that, there are also gameplay videos uploaded by various people showcasing how they fared through the game.

Why is the title Rose & Camellia, you ask? Well, let me be a *bleep* just for this moment: if I told you, then you would have been spoiled. Now, any more questions? Or you want some *bleep*slap? Just kidding. ^_^
