Three members of Team Sugoi will be at OngakuSociety’s Ongaku Rewind tomorrow (April 28) that’s from 5 P.M. to about 12 MN at the Freedom Bar.

We’ll be giving away stuff for the raffle, cough *Slamdunk artbook* cough and we’re also going to have a short segment on stage as we are one of the sponsors. Nothing spectacular, but you do get to see the faces behind the “happy man” on our peekchurs.

Hope to see everyone there!

Ahh… the 80’s! Back when my preferred baon was Jack and Jill chocolate-covered pretzels and orange Zesto in foil tetra-pack (or Ice Gems and Magnolia Chocolait). The time when the radios were blaring Madonna pleading her Papa not to preach, and Michael Jackson was still black and telling people to beat it (Ano ba ito, beat na talunin o beat na bati? Hehe…). The time when The Wuds and The Dawn were just starting (sigh* and now they’re all rock legends). The time when the ultimate teen movies were The Breakfast Club and Bagets.

Oh, the memories! With all the leggings and tunics, and Punk music coming back with a vengeance, who wouldn’t remember?

If you love “the Me decade,” then let OngakuSociety bring it back even for just one night!

OngakuSociety, the premiere contemporary Japanese music community for Filipino fans, was also present at the 2007 Nihongo Fiesta last Saturday. Aside from manning their booth, the OngakuSociety bigwigs also hosted a mini quiz show where they gave away OngakuSociety shirts.

I was going to run up to the microphone and answer myself (even if I had to trample on some poor kid to do it nyahahaha!), but I had to maintain a more dignified persona (which was even a meaner feat, come to think of it…).

Anyway, the OngakuSociety is going to hold great events this year including the upcoming Ongaku Rewind on the 28th of April.
