The Comic-Con in San Diego ongoing and there’s already a lot of leaks, hints, and previews that would make a lot of overzealous geek fans’ brains melt.
The panel Book of Eli included Gary Oldman and instead of pimping the Hughes Boys film (the cast of which includes big names like Denzel Washington, Michael Gambon, Mila Kunis and Ray Stevenson), Gary dropped a nukie of a geek dookie – the third Batman movie will begin filming next year.
Holy crap, Batman! This is huge new indeed. After getting steamrolled by awesomeness in The Dark Knight, fans are content on waiting even a couple of years for the next installment. Still, rumors have been around regarding a third installment but most can be dismissed on the account that there’s no script written, director tapped, or cast drafted to back the claim that the project has been greenlighted.
But this is Oldman hinting on it. Being the Hollywood professional, we don’t think that he’s just saying this to earn some cheap pops. There most likely is some major development regarding The Dark Knight sequel.
Whether Nolan will be back, we’ll just have to wait on more news.

Holy cow! Megan Fox is starting to be the ultimate Queen of the Nerds. After her stint with the Transformers franchise, she’ll be back next year as a hottie in a western harlot’s costume in Jonah Hex. And just look at her in this movie poster!
If you’re not a fan of dark and brooding anti-heroes, then maybe Megan’s presence would entice you to endure this comic-book-based flick. But come on. Josh Brolin‘s playing the title character and if we can expect more of the same of him (No Country for Old Men and Milk), then this will be a good movie.

It’s Comic-Con in San Diego by the way and movie outfits have made public several movie posters including this one.

Get ready folks, Sam Raimi has been tapped to direct the movie based on World of Warcraft. How’s that for a slobberknocking geek sucker punch?
The guy who brought us the Spider-Man movie trilogy will jump into yet another geek fest. He’ll be sitting in the Warcraft movie director’s chair right after he wraps up the shooting for the 4th Spider-Man installment.
Blizzard is looking to milk their cash cow even more with this move. Usually, films based on games suck but who knows what magic Sam Raimi has in store. Maybe he’ll be looking for payback after not getting the helm for The Hobbit.
Aside from the Spider-Man films, Raimi’s resume includes The Evil Dead and The Quick and the Dead.

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have definitely given new life to the classics and special editions of the games are a stroke of product development genius. There really is an immediate market from the artist/group’s fan base who now get a chance to “be” their rock stars.
The next big thing with these musical simulators – The Beatles: Rock Band. It’s arriving in August (09/09/09) and current compilation of tidbits has pegged the number of songs to 25. The 25 songs out of 45

The tricky thing about these special editions is the song selection. Guitar Hero: Metallica had a great song lineup while Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was a bit of a letdown since it didn’t contain any of their big hits in the 90s. Many fans are currently not content with the song list.

For PC gamers from years ago, Price of Persia undoubtedly brings back memories. Too bad the franchise never got back the same X-factor that old game had. Still, that doesn’t stop Disney from doing something about the franchise. Coming next year is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Yes, it shares the same title as the 2003 game.)
And these here are the two newly-released movie posters featuring the stars Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince (who has noticeably hulked up for this role) and Bond girl Gemma Arterton as the Princess. The plot still echoes the same elements of the game franchise – evil wizard, beautiful princess, brave prince and some magical artifact. Ben Kingsley is reported to play the role of the bad guy so that should make this more interesting.
Well, all I can say for now is that Gemma’s got that sexy fierce look working just right.
Warning: Spoiler alert!

If you’ve been wondering what’s in store for us when The Big Bang Theory returns for their fourth season, then here’s one big spoiler for us all – Penny (played by Kelly Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will hook up!
If you’ve been wondering what the heck was that cheesy Penny-Leonard bit during the Season 3 ender, then that’s just that – a build-up for what will happen after the four get back from the Arctic.
TV Guide Magazine has indeed confirmed it. “[w]e’re going to pursue a relationship between these two characters. After the dance they’ve been doing for two years, it’s the right thing to do,” producer Chuck Lorre told TV Guide.
Quite frankly, I now hate myself for looking at that piece of news.
