Oh praise the YouTube gods for this leak. It’s taken from a cam on some screening of sorts but hey, we’ll take what we can get (for free), right? So here’s the new Transformers 2 trailer and we can all hope a clearer HD version soon. By the looks of it, the movie can be good and we hope it’s going to be better than the first one.
I rarely see otakus and geeks who smoke but if it’s all for looking geeky and smokin’ at the same time, then these Transformer Zippo lighters are surely worth the take. Probably would appeal to both Transformer fans, Zippo fans, and those looking for the next flashy thing to striking matches on your boot.
These Transformer Zippos come in either black and shiny metal and only 300 units will be sold for each color. Talk about a limited run. Too bad these are only sold pnly in Japan and costs a whopping 12,000 Yen. That’s about Php 4,955 or $120 US.
Hmm… Still not so sure about the nicotine part but I do know a lot of geeks with pyromaniac tendencies. Beware, Optimus will set you on fire!
Mmmkay. So we’re placing it in quotes. These phones aren’t strapped with your Autobots and Decepticons icon but they can sure transform. Dubbed as the Mecha/Transformers phones, the SoftBank 815T PB can really be “transformed” from phone to robo-phone. And yes, you can actually make calls with this one.
The phone’s made for a new J-dorama entitled Ketai Sousakan 7 which airs soon. There’s really not much to the phone except for the fact that, with a few twists and turns, you can actually play with it as a toy robot. Aside from the arms and legs, it is functional as a normal cellphone and comes with a QVGA screen and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
This is extremely sugoi! To everyone who loved the Transformers movie and thoroughly enjoyed it (including my self), this one’s for all of you. A fellow fan created a movie-verse Bumblebee figure out of recycled boxes. And get this, with articulation! The articulation is a bit limited and cannot transform into the Camaro, but still is sugoi in it’s own way. The details are completely amazing and just wowed me.
Go to the guy’s blog to read the details on creating this masterpiece. This guy totally wins the internet for me.
More Transformers posters are now available online. While it builds up the hype, it also gives a good glimpse of the details we can expect from the movie. And I say, from the trailers and the posters that they’re sugoi.
If you expect little Bumblebee looking like a horny yellow bastard like he did in the old cartoon, you might get a bit disappointed. He really looks like a mechanical insect in this one. And Megatron really looks evil with all the jagged teeth, glowing eyes, and mangled visage.
With all the new Transformers brouhaha with the impending release of the live-action/CGI movie (sure, Optimus Prime will be cool again), here’s news for Transformers fans. They’d be doing another animated run called Transformers: Animated which will launch on the Cartoon Network by fall in the US. This would be the newest installation on animated Transformers since they’ve turned Optimus into a butt-scratching cyborg ape in Beast Machines.
Well, I wasn’t a fan of Beast Machines, probably it lost the novelty of the ee-oh-oh-ee-ee transformation sequence. Grimlock has got to be one of my favorite Transformers. Anyone cried when Optimus died in the old animated movie?
I say that it might be akin to the Beast Wars/Beast Machines series with former co-writer Marty Isenberg now taking editorial helm for this project. Die-hard Transformers fans were pretty much irate for what they did in Beast Machines. But I hope things will turn around with the inclusion of Matt Youngberg (Teen Titans, The Batman) as supervising director.
Rumors have it that it’ll have a futuristic setting. Optimus will be there (as a damn firetruck!?!) and his nemesis Megatron will be there too. Maybe he’ll be a fire hydrant so that he and optimus can play with their hoses or something. Woops. Sorry, my bad. But what the heck, Americans often do a lousy job turning Japanese novelty to mush. Remember that crappy Mask Rider series with Dex and a little teletubby?
We've done some house cleaning and unfortunately, we broke some links to out Photobucket-hosted images. (FAIL!) We're sorry for that so just check our Photobucket album for those missing images.
