If you’re into the first-person shooter/RPG genre involving droids and evolutionary dregs (or just a fan of the first BioShock), then you might be interested in BioShock 2. The game’s set to be released this year and what we have here is one of the first looks at the game’s gameplay.
By the looks of it, the game does take advantage of the current gen gaming rigs’ graphics capabilities. The lighting, sparks, and shadows are definitely bound to give any person liable to motion sickness (or epilepsy) a hard time but at least it shows that it utilizes rendering and shaders pretty well. The water effect does look a bit shabby though.
The game will arrive for the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 by the end of the year.
[Datenshi's notes: As the only guy in Sugoi who has played the original, I also thought that the teaser below contains major spoilers. However, Wikipedia says otherwise. So no need for you guys to comment "Would you kindly add a spoiler warning to this post?" ^_^]
It’s not really a habit of mine (and the rest of Team Sugoi) to post videos in succession, but I just wanted to post this.
I woke up this morning feeling a little gloomy. Now this song always, always picks my mood up. It’s such a genki, genki song! I’m talking about Sweet Soul Revue by the sugoi Pizzicato Five.
I’ve been watching it for weeks now every time I go online. I mean, it’s not exactly outrageously funny but I still find it addicting nevertheless. Find out who the boypren is:
And the song used in the vid, “Save Me” by Josh Verdes (whom I suspect is a Happyslip cousin) is so good! I keep on going to Josh’s MySpace accountjust to listen to it.
There is a running joke between me and my brother which has caught on with some of my friends as well.
It all started with the movie Armageddon and a box of Kleenex. Then, it was followed by The Kid and another box of Kleenex. Oh boy, my brother, who intended to have his revenge after all the stunt I pulled out on him as a kid, decided to tease me mercilessly about my tumultuous love triangle with Bruce Willis and yes, a box of Kleenex.
Apparently, it’s all true. I watched this clip and I couldn’t help but reach once again for a box of tissue.
This stars Shingo Katori, my favorite SMAPpy of all time! I don’t care if he looks good in a dress and apron (Does Shingo Mama ring any bell?). I just love him!
Anyway, I believe this clip below is one of those short films that he and his mates come up with for special episodes of SMAPxSMAP.
Gads, it has everything – suspense, comedy, action, hot chick, sentai, surrealism, aliens, blah and blah!
Warning: This lasts 7 minutes or so, it’s not for the impatient!
*Sigh* As you may have noticed, you have been seeing a lot less of me lately. But isn’t that a good thing? Harhar!
Due to insistent pocket demands, I had to return to the real world and make my living the usual way. Needless to say, I am now part of the workforce.
Anyway, I have here a 5-plus-minute video clip of Gaki no tsukai ya arahende (This Ain’t A Job For Kids), a popular owarai (comedy show) in Japan and hosted by the comedic duo Downtown.
Basically, the clip you’ll see is a popular segment where they put comedians in a certain humorous scenario, and what these poor folks do is to refrain from laughing. If they do, they get a butt-whack.
I used to watch this before in Japan, and I really miss it. You can’t get anything like this on TV here. Lagot sa MTRCB!
Before you click the play button, get a wad of tissue. You’ll be crying with laughter before you know it!
I adore Anna Tsuchiya! She’s so cute! I loved her as the female moped-biker thug Ichiko in Shimotsuma Monogatori (a.k.a. Kamikaze Girls). Anyway, here she is in a Beauteen commercial.
We've done some house cleaning and unfortunately, we broke some links to out Photobucket-hosted images. (FAIL!) We're sorry for that so just check our Photobucket album for those missing images.
