And no, I didn’t mean Ken Masters; I meant Ken Washio from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It wouldn’t be a cross-over if I said it was Ken Masters, would it?

That dream match will be realized in the near future, as Capcom teams up with Tatsunoko Productions, the animation studio behind Speed Racer, Tekkaman and the aforementioned Gatchaman, to bring us Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes.

Would you look at that; Street Fighter IV hasn’t been officially released yet, and now here’s Capcom with another possible blockbuster!

Diablo 3 themed splash page - Blizzard.com

Last year it was Starcraft 2, and today Blizzard announced in the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational (after another long tease in Blizzard.com) a sequel to another popular title: Diablo III.

From the Kotaku post:

Well it’s official folks! You can all scream like little girls and then pass out from complete exhaustion as Blizzard officially announces Diablo III at the 2008 Worldwide Invitational.

With around a billion MMORPGs that have come and gone since the last one, I wonder what innovations will they bring in this entry to the series. Obviously they’re going to add an auto-attack feature to save mice everywhere from the repetitive clicking that we were so used to in last decade.

I’m not a big Gundam fan per se, but somehow this particular item kinda intrigued me. I remember that only Gundam G caught my attention from the entire MS Universe. After seeing Gundam 00, I became very fond of the orange haro that Lockon is always dragging along and using when he’s sniping targets on his Gundam. So after the pre-orders came from our local shops, I immediately placed an order for one and decided to check it out.

First of all, let me say that the 7th Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention was, or is, SUGOI!

I went on both days as a cosplayer, not knowing that correspondents from Sugoi Stuff would discover my presence. Tough luck for me, but enough about that; I will use this opportunity to chronicle my exploits and experiences as a cosplayer on those days.

Ikuta TomaOhno Satoshi
Photos from Drama Wiki

Coming this July will be a remake of the Korean suspense drama The Devil. It is entitled Maou, and will star Ikuta Toma with Arashi’s Ohno Satoshi as double leads. The former will be portraying a detective solving a series of murders and the latter will be playing a two-faced lawyer.

As a fan of mystery flicks, I can’t wait for this one. And having Ikuta Toma in it is an added bonus.

The drama will start airing on July 4th and run until September this year on TBS.

ToyCon 2008

The 7th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention
Event date: June 14-15, 2008
Megatrade Hall 2-3, SM Megamall
Organized by Collectibles Unlimited Assoc

I went to the ToyCon and all I bought was a PERV shirt and an epal puppet. I was and am quite happy with my purchases since I got them from the booth manned by friends. I only got to attend the second day though due to work.

There were all kinds of booths for toy collectors, enthusiasts, and hobbyists. Local indie comic artists were given spots to pimp their graphic wares. Gamers had their own space where they could bash one another’s brains out in virtual world. There were contests galore, band performances (did they just play Love Song by The Cure?), and meet-and-greet segments (sayang, di ko nakita si Marian!). Of course, it was the cosplayers who caught the attention of the attendees (not to mention the mall-going public in general).

I also met my senpais and other friends at some points during the day.

Ace was there to cosplay Resident Evil (complete with a zombie) with a group. Awesome zombie, dude!

Direk Mike, Jo-senpai, Poli-senpai, Rael-senpai, Hazel (a.k.a. Misao), and Ria (the latter two of Progeny) were there to cosplay Macross. Roch-senpai, Miao-senpai, and Jerry as their support system.

We should have gotten pictures where the Macross team was in character but there simply was no time. We just had to make do with those where they were still chatting in their usual persona. Hahaha!

Sayang!

PIC SPAM ALERT!!!
