You don’t have to be a full J-culture enthusiast to know X Japan since their music has been featured in countless anime titles. Well, you can also regard them as one of the long-enduring J-rock groups having been around since 1982. (Sure, they took a 10-year hiatus but they’re back.)
Rumors were abound that their bassist, Heath, has left the band but the band’s management claims that these rumors were unfounded. It is true, however, that Heath has proposed his departure but nothing has been approved.
The band’s Tokyo Dome concerts on May 2 and 3 next month will push through.

It’s not enough that L’Arc~en~Ciel has just kicked off their 2007 tour, these guys who made me listen to J rock has also announced that starting August, they will be releasing one sugoi stuff every month for 5 months!!! Here’s something from Hero TV:
There are still 3 mall tours left so better catch them at the following dates:
March 31: SM Fairview. 3:30 PM. Featuring Rocksteddy and 3 Day Trial.
April 1: SM Megamall Megatrade Hall B. 3:30 PM. Featuring Rivermaya.
April 14: SM Southmall. 3:30 PM. Featuring 6 Cycle Mind and Ethereal Anthem.
And I love alliterative titles. Anyway, do we have tanning salon’s here in Manila? A few perhaps but I do believe that more and more Filipinos are using whitening cream than get a tan (unless they’re tisoys or tisays).
But such is the premise of Sandwich’s video for their song Sunburn (of their Five on the Floor album). Sandwich running a tanning salon with babes and bikinis galore! Sakto for summer!

Our generation never got to where we are without the Eraserheads. So if you have lived under a rock for the past half-a-decade then. The E-heads are long gone. Now with the news of the former frontman’s health problems, there had been much buzz about possible reunions.
Here’s a great article from by Jim Ayson on PhilMusic answering the age old question, “Whatever happened to the E-heads?”
