Futurama cast to return?

By Alex on August 1, 2009

Futurama Cast

Good news, everyone! Well, sure Futurama is set for a 26-episode deal meaning Matt Groening and David X. Cohen’s work will again give us some 31st century laughs. However, doubt was cast on the return of its original cast.

Rumors were abound in Comic-Con that the veteran Futurama voice cast failed to reach an agreement with producers on pay rates leading everyone to believe that a new cast will be hired to work on the comeback series.

However, Newsarama scooped up some info from the Toronto Star that says that a compromise has been reached between the original cast and the producers and a contract has been signed.

We still have to some other sources confirming this to fully celebrate but knowing that Futurama will be back is a treat in itself.

Warning: Spoiler alert!

The Big Bang Theory - Penny and Leonard

If you’ve been wondering what’s in store for us when The Big Bang Theory returns for their fourth season, then here’s one big spoiler for us all – Penny (played by Kelly Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will hook up!

If you’ve been wondering what the heck was that cheesy Penny-Leonard bit during the Season 3 ender, then that’s just that – a build-up for what will happen after the four get back from the Arctic.

TV Guide Magazine has indeed confirmed it. “[w]e’re going to pursue a relationship between these two characters. After the dance they’ve been doing for two years, it’s the right thing to do,” producer Chuck Lorre told TV Guide.

Quite frankly, I now hate myself for looking at that piece of news.

Sienna Miller on Top Gear

Sienna Miller as The Baroness

Many people might not like Sienna Miller for being an alleged homewrecker after hooking up with Balthazar Getty. But hey, she’ll be flooding our geek consciousness as she appears as The Baroness in the G.I. Joe movie.

Just take a look at the picture above and I bet you wouldn’t care about her personal business as long as she provides the much needed man-eye candy for a movie filled with muscled men. Don’t tell me you didn’t welcome the sight of Lena Heady in 300.

As part of her publicity work for the film, she appeared on the popular TV motoring show, Top Gear, as the episode’s Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car. Stars do a timed lap around the Top Gear test track. Despite only having a British license for a week, she was able to clock a reasonably good time based on the show’s standards. Plus, she looks cute looking so worried driving the car. Compared to that fierce look she has as The Baroness.

Sienna Miller in Top Gear

There are quite a handful of babes in skin-tight superhero garments in the news today. Quite honestly, I think I like Sienna’s The Baroness over ScarJo’s Black Widow.

Obi Wan in New Animate Star Wars

I’d have to say that the geek in me likes Star Wars especially tconhe first trilogy with Luke and Obi Wan and Han and Princess Leia and the Ewoks. I still have that nasty habit of doing impressions of Darth Vader saying “Luke, who’s your daddy?” just to disturb people. Sad to say, even Mace Windu didn’t do the prequel any justice. Hayden Christensen really ruined the whole franchise with such crappy acting.

Anyway, since we wont have another set of three movies set after the one, the franchise has decided to fill in more storyline blanks with the a new set of 3D animated features dubbed, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This is to be differentiated from the Clone Wars 2D run on Cartoon Network (which was a treat on its own though it really sucked to see that the animated version of Anakin still had a huge amount of influence from Hayden’s crap).

Val Kilmer

Say goodbye to Will Arnett. You won’t be hearing the cool classic voice of the old K.I.T.T. from the Knight Rider TV series. Loyal fans would probably be disappointed with the reason. It’s not that Will Arnett has finally kicked the bucket or that he succumbed to throat cancer, it’s just because he did voice overs for General Motors ads prior. Since it’s rival Ford who will be sponsoring the new Knight Rider, they want someone exclusive.

So who did they choose to voice the new Ford Mustang K.I.T.T.? None other than Batman… err… Fatman Forever himself, Val Kilmer.

If you still have images of the old Val Kilmer circa Batman Forever and The Saint in your minds, read on after the cut to see how gross and fat Val Kilmer looks like nowadays.

One of my favorite Sesame Street clips!

Here’s the info from the YouTube page:

A loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter“. From 1972, the classic animated segment about memory, which has done a pretty good job of sticking in the memories of a generation of Sesame Street viewers. Produced by Jim Simon’s Wantu Studios, the same company that made equally distinctive animation for The Electric Company and Vegetable Soup

Batang ’80s: Knight Rider’s back

By Alex on December 28, 2007

Not really back. But to plague on our collective nostalgia, they’re remaking Knight Rider. Yes, remember that super cool (as a kid, American muscle cars are cool) black Pontiac Trans-Am and a pre-Baywatch David Hasselhoff behind its wheel?

Though it’s great that we won’t get to see a post-Baywatch David Hasselhoff with this one. (Be honest, who thinks an old David Hasselhoff is cool?) And you have to say goodbye to the Trans-Am since they’d be using a totally different muscle car with this run – a Shelby-tuned Ford Mustang.

Here’s a teaser clip shown on NBC:

Oh man, I wanna be Jacky Chan

By Alex on August 9, 2007

Jacky Chan and Chris Tucker will be back for Rush Hour 3 and since I’m a fan of the series, I’m sure I will be watching. In any case, man, I want to be Jacky Chan. Just take a look at this clip from Conan where he shares a story about how he got to grab some model’s boobs.

No lawsuits. No nothing. Just some thank you for Jacky Chan kung fu. Asian dudes rock.
